Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) to ensure 24/7 system integrity.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in network infrastructure.
- Manage incident response procedures and lead forensic investigations in the event of a security breach.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to reduce human error and phishing risks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with security tools including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to relocate to Austin, TX (Relocation assistance provided).
