Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct thorough investigations into potential security breaches, malware incidents, and anomalous activity.
- Manage vulnerability assessments and remediation processes to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards.
- Develop and execute robust incident response plans to minimize downtime and data loss during security events.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing support.
- Document security policies, procedures, and post-incident reports for executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for automation and log analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
