Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Manage and maintain firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems.
- Investigate security incidents, root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (NIST, HIPAA, SOC2).
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to end-users.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits if required.
