Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM tools like Splunk and QRadar
- Conduct proactive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches and cyber-attacks
- Develop security policies aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
- Mentor junior analysts and optimize security automation workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security-by-design principles
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in threat intelligence and incident response
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification required (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Expertise in AWS/Azure security controls and cloud security posture management
- Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for security automation
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS) and firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Experience with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting methodologies
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance (US citizenship required)
