Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Splunk Enterprise Security, or QRadar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify potential security gaps in the network infrastructure.
- Lead incident response efforts, including containment, eradication, and recovery from cyber attacks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy patches, configure firewalls, and harden endpoints against external threats.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks, standard operating procedures, and compliance reports.
- Perform regular security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to reduce human error and social engineering risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security analysis.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and log analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
