Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify, prioritize, and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery, minimizing downtime and impact.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
- Security Architecture: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS through rigorous auditing and reporting.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the security posture of the organization and educate employees on best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CISM, Security+, or CEH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools, firewall configuration (Cisco, Palo Alto), and scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
