Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to advanced threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and recommending remediation actions
- Develop and implement security monitoring dashboards to provide real-time threat visibility
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture through vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Create comprehensive security incident response plans and conduct tabletop exercises
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence to proactively enhance defense mechanisms
- Present security metrics and threat landscape reports to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, GIAC, or CompTIA Security+ required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat hunting methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security data
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
