Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.) in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT teams to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Perform threat hunting and advanced forensic analysis to detect sophisticated attacks.
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the DevSecOps pipeline.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, SOC operations, or cybersecurity engineering.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ required.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance (if applicable).
