Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) in real-time.
- Lead and coordinate incident response activities for security breaches, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in the network.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Stay abreast of the latest threat intelligence and emerging cyber threats to proactively defend the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably within a financial or enterprise environment.
- Certification required: CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GIAC GCIH.
- Strong proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud security technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container security.
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
