Responsibilities
- Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor security alerts and events across the network to detect and respond to potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation and remediation of security incidents, ensuring minimal business impact.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Threat Intelligence: Analyze global threat intelligence reports to proactively anticipate and block emerging cyber threats.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement secure network architectures and controls.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or security operations.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel), endpoint protection, and network security protocols.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Tools: Proficiency with Python or PowerShell for scripting and automation of security tasks.
