Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and document response actions.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain the security information and event management (SIEM) environment.
- Prepare and present regular security posture reports to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or incident response.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as FireEye, Snort, or similar IDS/IPS solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 SOC environment.
