Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response for sophisticated cyber attacks
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls across cloud/on-prem environments
- Lead security awareness training and phishing simulation programs
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar role
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls (Palo Alto/Fortinet), and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks, GDPR, and HIPAA compliance
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
