Responsibilities
- Threat Hunting & Monitoring: Proactively monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools to prevent breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal business impact and rapid recovery.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST standards through rigorous documentation and audits.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement security controls, firewalls, and encryption protocols.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: Active CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH certification is highly required.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in a SOC or Security Operations role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, or QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VPNs, Firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Scripting: Ability to write Python or Bash scripts to automate security tasks and reporting.
