Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats
- Conduct incident response investigations, including forensic analysis and root cause determination
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to design secure architectures and remediate security gaps
- Create comprehensive security documentation and incident response plans
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams
