As a member of our security operations center (SOC), you will work with industry-leading tools to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents with speed and precision.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture before attackers do.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts during security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Enforce strict compliance standards, including NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP, ensuring all systems meet rigorous federal security requirements.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and training programs to foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and software development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Active Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ (GRC/CCSK strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity analysis, incident response, or threat hunting.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and threat detection.
