Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain advanced security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions
- Lead incident response operations for security breaches, including forensic analysis and containment
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop comprehensive security documentation including policies, playbooks, and compliance reports
- Monitor threat intelligence feeds and correlate data to identify emerging attack vectors
- Mentor junior analysts and collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Ensure adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on experience in threat detection and incident response
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, or Security+) required; GIAC or CompTIA Security+ preferred
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and threat modeling
- Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tooling
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 90 days
