Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across the network using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and manage remediation efforts to reduce risk exposure.
- Lead post-incident investigations, including root cause analysis and the development of lessons learned.
- Enforce compliance with regulatory standards such as NIST, PCI-DSS, and SOC2.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and awareness training programs for employees.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Active security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH) are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python or Bash) for automation and security tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Engineering.
