Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct thorough log reviews and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks within the network.
- Lead incident response investigations, perform forensics, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to design and implement secure network architectures.
- Perform regular penetration testing and security audits to test system resilience.
- Train junior staff and conduct security awareness training for the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or GIAC GCIH are highly required.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and analysis.
- Experience with Cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
