Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Compliance & Auditing: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to ensure strict compliance with SOC2, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation and remediation of security incidents, managing the full incident response lifecycle from detection to post-incident analysis.
- Architecture & Engineering: Collaborate with engineering teams to design secure network architectures and implement robust security controls within our cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Security Operations: Manage and configure firewall rules, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions to prevent unauthorized access.
- Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive security policies, procedures, and playbooks for the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security analysis.
- Certifications: Active certification as a CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or CISM is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM technologies (Splunk, ELK Stack), SIEM/SOAR automation, and scripting (Python/Bash) is required.
- Networking: Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud security models.
- Communication: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex security findings to executive leadership and technical teams.
