Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches, malware infections, and network intrusions
- Develop and implement advanced threat detection rules for zero-day exploits and APT campaigns
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to remediate vulnerabilities and enhance security posture
- Create comprehensive incident response plans and conduct regular tabletop exercises
- Generate executive-level security reports and dashboards communicating risk metrics
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices through continuous research
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools and threat detection
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Demonstrated ability to investigate complex security incidents using forensic tools
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate diverse data sources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
