Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response for complex cyberattacks
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts (Python, PowerShell)
- Collaborate with penetration testers to validate security controls
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and risk assessments
- Lead security awareness training sessions for technical teams
- Stay current on emerging threats and zero-day vulnerabilities
Qualifications
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in SOC operations
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC Security Expert certification required
- Expert knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and NIST CSF
- Hands-on experience with EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Strong network security fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Proficiency in threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience
