Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, coordinating with internal teams to minimize downtime.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network segmentation.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with NIST and ISO standards.
- Perform forensic analysis on compromised systems to understand attack vectors.
- Present detailed incident reports and security metrics to senior leadership and compliance officers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection, and response (EDR) tools.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) for security automation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
