Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems.
- Manage and remediate security vulnerabilities across the network and application layers.
- Support the incident response team during security breaches, conducting forensics and root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security best practices and secure coding standards.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation regarding security policies and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
- Certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with security tools (e.g., Splunk, FireEye, CrowdStrike, Snort).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
