As a key member of our security operations center, you will lead the charge in securing our infrastructure, ensuring regulatory compliance (SOC2, HIPAA), and defending against evolving cyber threats. Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate forensic investigations and incident response plans to mitigate breaches and minimize business impact.
- Risk Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and applications.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory frameworks, preparing for and passing audits (SOC2, ISO 27001).
- Security Architecture: Recommend and implement security controls, firewalls, and endpoint protection strategies.
- Training: Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to reduce social engineering risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, or Security+ is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, including 2 years in a senior analyst or SOC role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting for automation; strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
