Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and analyze security alerts to detect and neutralize threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, including forensic analysis and remediation planning.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and VPNs to ensure secure network architecture.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with software development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
