Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and mitigate threats in real-time
- Lead incident response for security breaches including malware analysis, containment, and remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security frameworks aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure cloud architectures and network configurations
- Maintain security documentation including playbooks, policies, and audit trails
- Mentor junior analysts and drive continuous improvement of security operations
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with focus on threat detection and incident response
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (required) and GCSP (preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls)
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Excellent written communication for creating executive security reports
- Ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision
