Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust network security protocols to prevent unauthorized access
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and incident response for 24/7 security operations
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across hybrid cloud environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and PowerShell
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 frameworks
- Mentor junior security analysts and document security procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 2+ years in threat detection/response
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR tools
- Proficiency in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization security
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Ability to handle high-pressure security incidents with minimal supervision
