Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for anomalies, intrusions, and potential security breaches using SIEM tools like Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify system weaknesses and mitigate risks proactively.
- Lead the incident response team during security breaches, coordinating with legal and IT departments for containment and recovery.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to implement secure coding practices and secure software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threat vectors, and regulatory changes to advise leadership on risk management strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent advanced certification (e.g., CEH, SANS GSE).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a senior analytical role.
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automated security tasks.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles (AWS/Azure/GCP).
