Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts during security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Conduct security awareness training for staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certification preferred: CISSP, CEH, Security+, GCIH, or GCFA.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in using SIEM, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
