Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewall configurations, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigate security incidents and execute incident response procedures to minimize business impact.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA security frameworks and standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch vulnerabilities and harden network architecture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or information security role.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and web technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues under pressure.
