Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, or ArcSight).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage firewall policies, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Investigate security breaches, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST), and government regulations (GDPR, CCPA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Produce weekly and monthly security reporting for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and common network protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and threat hunting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
