Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools to detect and respond to threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Lead incident response efforts, coordinating with internal teams to mitigate breaches and restore operations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and common network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel) and endpoint protection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
