Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security incidents using SIEM tools, developing actionable threat intelligence and response protocols
- Lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud/on-premise environments
- Design and implement zero-trust architecture solutions and access control mechanisms
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises for threat simulation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Generate executive-level security reports and risk mitigation strategies
- Mentor junior analysts and conduct security awareness training for employees
- Stay current with emerging threats and regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in analyst roles
- Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ (required) plus AWS/Azure Security Specialty
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud architectures (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust principles
- Experience with threat hunting frameworks MITRE ATT&CK and Purple Team exercises
- Proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats under pressure
