Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and threat hunting activities
- Develop and implement incident response plans for APT attacks, ransomware, and zero-day exploits
- Collaborate with IT teams to harden network infrastructure and patch vulnerabilities
- Generate executive-level security reports and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead phishing simulation campaigns and security awareness training initiatives
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence sharing platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN) and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, Windows/Linux systems, and Active Directory
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
