Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and optimize AWS/Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Implement robust security protocols including IAM policies, network ACLs, and compliance frameworks
- Automate system monitoring and alerting using tools like Nagios, Datadog, or Splunk
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute failover procedures for critical systems
- Collaborate with development teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization and DevOps practices
- Document system configurations, runbooks, and incident response protocols
- Provide tier-3 support for complex infrastructure issues and mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing enterprise-level Linux/Windows systems in cloud environments
- Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP) with professional certifications
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls)
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless technologies
- Proven track record in implementing high-availability architectures and performance tuning
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex cross-domain issues
