Responsibilities
- Architectural Design: Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures using AWS or Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code: Manage infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Containerization: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure all cloud deployments adhere to federal security standards (FISMA, FedRAMP) and best practices.
- Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance, conduct troubleshooting, and optimize cloud resources for cost and speed.
- Collaboration: Partner with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate cloud services into the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
- Cloud Expertise: Deep proficiency in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC) or Azure (VMs, App Services, AKS).
- Scripting: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Tools: Experience with version control (Git), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and logging (ELK Stack).
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert is a plus.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Secret clearance is required.
