Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
- Optimize cloud costs through architectural reviews and FinOps practices
- Implement robust security frameworks including IAM, VPC design, and compliance controls
- Provide 24/7 production support with on-call rotation (1 week/month)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct architecture reviews
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to drive cloud adoption initiatives
- Document infrastructure and maintain runbooks for operational excellence
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with AWS/Azure
- Expertise in container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, or PowerShell)
- Certified Solutions Architect (AWS/Azure) or equivalent
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, Load Balancers)
- Proven track record of migrating on-prem workloads to cloud
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
