Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions for automated deployments
- Optimize cloud costs and performance through continuous monitoring and architecture improvements
- Lead security initiatives including IAM policies, network security, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA)
- Provide 24/7 on-call support and incident response for production cloud environments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless cloud integration
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC, VPN, Load Balancers)
- Certification required: AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
- Proven track record of reducing cloud costs by 20%+ in previous roles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
