Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems supporting high-traffic applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
- Optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) for 24/7 availability across US regions
- Debug and resolve production issues during night shift coverage
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and documentation
- Implement security best practices for distributed systems
- Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python/Java/Go
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/K8s)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure-as-code
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design solutions
