Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify vulnerabilities before they are exploited.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents with a focus on minimizing business impact.
- Manage firewall rules and configure intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and ISO 27001 standards.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to implement secure coding practices and patch management.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation regarding security policies and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of network protocols, encryption, and security frameworks.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or Bash for security automation.
- Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated home office environment.
