Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Quantum Software Architect to lead the next generation of computational breakthroughs. As we prepare for the quantum leap in 2026, Nexus Future Systems is building a team that will redefine the boundaries of what is possible in computing. If you are passionate about solving complex problems using qubits and superposition, we want to hear from you.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical software engineering, designing scalable algorithms that run on today's noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices while planning for fault-tolerant architectures of the future.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex quantum algorithms for applications in cryptography, optimization, and machine learning.
- Translate mathematical quantum physics concepts into efficient, production-ready Python and C++ code.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize software for specific quantum processor architectures.
- Build and maintain libraries and frameworks to accelerate quantum research and development within the organization.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of quantum circuits to ensure error correction and stability.
- Stay at the forefront of quantum computing trends, including Qiskit, Cirq, and Q# developments.
- Mentor junior developers and researchers in quantum computing best practices.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent extensive professional experience.
- Proven experience with quantum programming frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, or PyQuil.
- Strong proficiency in classical programming languages, specifically Python and C++.
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and probability theory.
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (e.g., IBM Quantum Experience, AWS Braket).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
