Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in next-gen systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors with >1000 qubits
- Lead cross-functional research on quantum applications in cryptography and AI
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants for experimental validation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and hybrid quantum-classical algorithms
- Proven track record of securing research funding ($500K+ preferred)
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum hardware
- Experience mentoring junior researchers in quantum computing
