Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Develop novel error-correction protocols to stabilize qubit coherence
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in quantum hardware-software integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in federal and private research grants annually
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems and microwave control electronics
- Strong track record of securing NSF or DoE research grants
- Experience mentoring graduate-level researchers
