Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical software solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and secure external research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in linear algebra, complex analysis, and probability theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong track record of open-source contributions to quantum frameworks
- Ability to secure competitive research funding from NSF/NIH
