Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF, DOE, and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum computing curriculum
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or similar)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals or conferences
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Proficiency in quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, or Quil)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
