Our state-of-the-art quantum lab in San Francisco houses 128-qubit processors and maintains sub-10 millikelvin operating temperatures. You'll work on projects including quantum machine learning, error correction protocols, and quantum-resistant cryptography with direct impact on national security, pharmaceutical development, and climate modeling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant computing protocols
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance metrics
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize classical-quantum machine learning models
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum computing curricula
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Cirq, Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum information theory or quantum algorithms
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and gate-level optimization
- Proficiency in cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and group theory
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel processing
