Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects integrating quantum-classical hybrid computing
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at major conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq)
- Publication record in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review)
- Proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and complexity classes
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
