Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM and Rigetti systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and computational complexity
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (≥10 first-author papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and Q# frameworks with 50+ GitHub repositories
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, and color codes)
- Proven track record of securing government grants (DARPA/NSF preferred)
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic systems
- Strong background in complexity theory and quantum machine learning
