Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols on superconducting platforms
- Develop error correction models for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid workflows
- Secure $1M+ in government/private quantum research grants
- Mentor postdocs in quantum information theory
- Author 2+ high-impact publications annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in quantum algorithm development with demonstrated publications
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic processors
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction
- Track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum research grants
