Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct theoretical research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation projects
- Secure research funding through grant proposals and industry partnerships
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and identify commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Publication record in quantum computing or theoretical physics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams
